Ecuador is a country that captures you from its natural and cultural richness. Sailing through the mountains and living among the warm alpaca and wool fabrics are the greatest reasons to create a route full of warmth, wisdom and great experiences.

In this space we will be guided by the great Taitas of the Ecuadorian mountains, learning from the hand of their children the artisans and reconnecting with the natural wisdom.

Itinerary

Day 1: QUITO

  • Arrival at Hotel 11am
  • Accommodation
  • Departure to visit the historical center 1pm
  • Traditional welcome lunch
  • Visit panecillo
  • Dinner on your own

Day 2: QUILOTOA/ RIOBAMBA

  • Breakfast ( 6:30 am )
  • Departure to Quilotoa ( 7:30am )
  • Visit Quilotoa Lagoon
  • Visit Artisans
  • Lunch in Ambato (2:30 pm)
  • Arrival to Riobamba ( 5:30 pm )
  • Accommodation at the Hotel
  • Dinner

Day 3: LA MOYA

  • Breakfast ( 7:30 am )
  • Departure to the community (8:30 am )
  • Welcome to La Moya community
  • Shearing an alpaca
  • Washing
  • Spinning
  • Lunch with the community
  • Weaving
  • Return to the hotel
  • Free dinner

Day 4: CUENCA

  • Breakfast ( 6:30 am )
  • Departure to Cuenca (7:30 am )
  • Arrival and accommodation at hotel
  • Lunch at historical restaurant
  • Tour of the historical center
  • Visit textile museum
  • Dinner

Day 5: GUALACEO

  • Breakfast (7:30 am)
  • Departure to the museum of the macana (8:30 am)
  • Macana workshop
  • Collection of plants for natural dyeing
  • Preparation of the thread
  • Traditional lunch
  • Macana weaving
  • Return to the hotel
  • Dinner on your own

Day 6: NATIONAL PARK CAJAS

  • Breakfast ( 7:30 am )
  • Departure (8:30 am )
  • Visit El Cajas Natural Park
  • Hike of approximately 4 hours
  • We will see more than 20 natural lagoons and
  • water springs, fauna and flora.
  • Snacks
  • Late lunch
  • Hot springs
  • Arrival to the Hotel
  • Dinner on your own

Day 7: CUENCA

  • Breakfast (7:30 am)
  • Workshop with guest artist Camila Morejon (9am to 1pm)
  • Lunch
  • Continuati of the workshop

Day 8: CUENCA

  • Breakfast (7:30 am)
  • Visit hat workshop of Homero Ortega
  • Transfer to the airport (for those who need it)
